Arts, Culture & Radio
Creativity has always been at the very heart of what we do at CEDA, and we work regularly with disabled artists and promote them and their work in a number of ways, for example by employing artists to run workshops and providing peer mentoring to people who use our service, as well as linking artists with each other via our Disability Artist Network online. We have also collaborated with artists on local projects and provide display space to showcase their work at our centres and within the wider community.
Culture
CEDA has led several projects related to Heritage and Exeter’s local history, with emphasis on inclusion and ensuring Exeter’s history and culture remains accessible for everyone. For example, a recent partnership with Exeter Historic Building Trust saw groups of disabled people visiting buildings they oversee to comment on accessibility and make suggestions about improvements.
